Quantic Heartz — Retune Your Entire Mac to 432 Hz
Quantic Heartz is a macOS app that retunes all system audio from the standard
A=440 Hz to A=432 Hz in real time, system-wide. Every sound on your Mac —
Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, Tidal, podcasts, videos and games — is automatically
retuned with zero audio-quality loss and no per-app setup.
How to make your Mac play everything in 432 Hz
- Install — download the DMG and drag Quantic Heartz to Applications. It sets up its virtual CoreAudio driver automatically on first launch.
- Toggle — hit the power button. Quantic Heartz routes all system audio through its pitch engine, shifting everything down by 31.77 cents from 440 Hz to 432 Hz.
- Listen — every app on your Mac now outputs 432 Hz, out to your speakers or headphones.
What it works with
Quantic Heartz works at the system audio level, so it retunes every music, video and
streaming app: Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, Tidal, SoundCloud, Netflix, podcasts and
games. The only exception is live voice and video calls (FaceTime, Zoom, WhatsApp, Meet),
which macOS routes directly to the hardware by design — no audio app can change that.
440 Hz vs 432 Hz
440 Hz is the international standard pitch adopted in 1953. 432 Hz is an alternative
tuning that many people find warmer and more natural. Emerging research (Calamassi &
Pomponi 2019, Journal of Evidence-Based Integrative Medicine; Aravena et al. 2023,
Frontiers in Psychology) associates 432 Hz music with lower heart rate and reduced
anxiety. Quantic Heartz makes no medical claims — it is software that lets you hear the
difference yourself.
